DISTRICT COURT ORDINANCE - SECT 17

District Court Rules Committee

(1) There shall be a District Court Rules Committee consisting of the Chief
Judge, 3 District Judges appointed by the Chief Judge, a barrister nominated
by the Hong Kong Bar Association, a solicitor nominated by the Law Society of
Hong Kong and the Registrar. (Amended 79 of 1981 s. 11)

(2) At any meeting of the Rules Committee, 3 members, one of whom is either
such a barrister or such a solicitor, shall be a quorum.

(3) The Rules Committee shall be convened by or at the direction of the Chief
Judge.

(4) The Chairman of the Rules Committee shall be the Chief Judge or, in his
absence, the senior District Judge present at the meeting. (Replaced 21 of
